Wow, time is flying by!! I can't believe that Jake is 5 1/2 months already!! His personality is really starting to show! He laughs and giggles all the time and always has a smile for me and Jason!
His favorite game is 'flying' with Jason! He will laugh and giggle like crazy. It was funny because earlier today Jason had him above his head and Jake accidentally threw up on Jason's cheek....too funny!!!
He is eating like a champ now and absolutely loves squash (this can't be our kid because Jason and I hate it!!!) His new thing is he always grabs the spoon from my hand and tries to feed himself. I have resorted to using two spoons, one for me to feed him with and one for him to 'feed himself' with. I have to really watch him though because he will shove it back too far and gag himself. Still no tooth yet. We can still see the tip, but it hasn't moved in a month! The drool is crazy and I have started to photo shop the drool dripping off of his chin because it's so bad!! We took Jake golfing with us the other night, and he loved it!!
I loved it because being outside really tuckered him out! He slept from 7:30 - 5:30, ate and went back to sleep until 8:30!!!! We were going to see if it would work again tonight, but it was rainy and cold. Jake is still a HORRIBLE napper, but we're working on it. I can normally get 3 small catnaps (about 30 mins each) out of him, but that's it. He is sleeping really well at night though, so maybe that's just his new normal. Oh, and check out these problem solving skills!!! He loves grabbing his feet and trying to get them in his mouth, but sometimes his buddah belly gets in the way. So he will grab his pant leg and pull his foot closer until he can grab it! I think I see Harvard in his future :)
